I was actually looking up benchmarks the other day, gtx 760 does pretty well actually. I am not sure I would say get a 7950 over it... Honestly, either is a good option I think.

Yeah, both Gtx 760 and 7950 are both good and around the same price. I'll admit im a bit of a nvidia fan boy  :D but I'll still got for radeon if i had to.

Here is a comparison between a stock 760 and a DirectCU II Asus 7950:

http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/2012-vga-gpgpu/compare,2941.html?prod%5B5549%5D=on∏%5B6244%5D=on

I think the power consumption and heat reduction (stock vs stock, obviously the Asus card is going to be quite and cool compared to stock nVidia) might be worth it. Although the 7950 does OC pretty well. Either is a good choice!

Also, I didn't look at speeds, but that Asus 7950 should be OCed a bit already... but I am sure there is OC headroom left, probably a bunch

GTX 760 if you don't plan to OC or want to utilize GPU Boost 2.0, but teh HD 7950 wins out if you want to manually overclock.  The difference isn't huge UNLESS you're gaming above 1080P, or set AA very high.

Specs: Core I7-2600K @ 4.5GHz @ 1.35V, 4x4GB Corsair Vengeance Black 1600MHz CL9, Cooler Master Evo 212, MSI Z77 Mpower Motherboard, Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Vapor-X @ 1000/1400, Cooler Master HAF 932 Blue Edition w/ 3 Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 120MM fans (2 up top 1 in the bottom) replaced side panel with a window, and rear fan with a Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 140MM, Cooler Master GX 650 80+ Bronze PSU, Samsung DVD-RW, Samsung 840 Pro 128GB SSD, Seagate 750GB SATA III 7200RPM

My budget is £650 and the things that I havent bought come upto £650 on dabs. My main purpose of the build is to game, hence i got an i5 not i7 and im planning on building it at the end of the year. About december time. which could mean the prices could have dropped for certain items.  :)

Thanks Budget, it shouldn't effect me that much then. I don't game over 1080p and I usually never have my AA high in any game

that's what I meant.

I was saying that there's no point in recommending something else because he (you) already had it.

So if I didn't get the WD 1tb black drive and just used my WD 1tb green thats the computer and price http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/1kEv. The power supply is at the bottom in custom because pcpartpicker doesn't have my silver stone psu.

Greens aren't good performers, blues and barracudas would be better.

So this is the current build you have?
