Help Choosing a Power Supply

Go to solution Solved by 1823alex,

It should work. What psu you have have exactly? Psu specs?

nevermind, it's an old startech.com one I just noticed it doesn't have the right hard drive power cables all it has is a 24 pin motherboard, and some molex connectors... thanks for the help though.

I'm building a computer and I have a spare 250 watt psu but I want to know if it is enough to power this:

AMD A8 5600k

Kingston HyperX Genesis Ram

250 GB SeaGate Baracuda

CPU fan, Front Fan, Back Fan (using stock cpu cooler and the front and back fans are both 120mm)

Does anyone know if a 250 Watt power supply can power this, if not what psu do you reccomend I buy? (Doesn't need to be Modular)

Gaming Rig - Excalibur - CPU: i5 6600k @ 4.1GHz, CPU Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo, Mobo: MSI Gaming M3 RAM: 16GB Corsair @2400MHz, GPU: EVGA 1060, Case: NZXT Phantom Full Tower (Red)

My Virtualization Server - Dell R710: 2x X5570s @ 2.93GHz with 32GB DDR3 RAM [Web Server, OSX, Plex, Reverse Proxy]

I love computers, gaming, coding, and photography! Be sure to quote me so I can respond to your post!

I'd bump it up to 350 watts for headroom.
