What games are you going to be playing? (assuming you're gaming)

The G3258 is only the ideal choice if you're intention is to play games that only run on one or two cores (and if you don't want to do any real multitasking) otherwise an i3 would be well worth the extra money, and if you can't afford an i3, then an 860k would suffice.

280X Is generally better than the 960 + More VRAM

No, the 960 struggles to get 60fps in some games even on 1080p, the 280x will max out everything on 1080p.

A 280x is still faster, plus gives you extra VRAM should it become necessary.

For an SSD, don't get a V300 since it's pretty bad ever since Kingston swapped out the hardware for cheap crap. Go with this instead: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/a-data-internal-hard-drive-asp600s3128gmc

the 280x is way more expensive though the least expensive name-brand was 300$+ but i disabled every store but newegg ncix cc and amazon because i trust them.

These stores wouldn't be on PCPP if they weren't trusted.

Get w/e you prefer, but that 2gb limit is gonna wreck you hard. 2GBs are slowly becoming obsolete for GPUs nowadays.

then why can't i just oc the pentium then to 4.7? Have you seen the benchmarks?

The i3 has Hyperthreading which makes it better than the Pentium K. Hyperthreading makes the i3 a semi-quadcore. The Pentium has started to fall behind recently.
