I'm looking for a motherboard for a new PC build I'm doing. I was originally interested in the ASUS Maximus VII HERO -http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132125&cm_re=Z97_Motherboard-_-13-132-125-_-Product

However when I was putting together the general price range of the whole build and I went a bit overboard in price. I am now looking for a motherboard just as packed with features - basically the next best board for cheaper. I was looking through some of the Z97 boards but couldn't narrow down the choices much.

Needed features:

- Z97 Chipset (for i5 4690K or i7 4790K)

- ATX Form Factor

- Four DIMM slots for RAM

- 2 PCI-e Lanes for 2-way SLI

- Four (or more) Sata 6Gb/s

Features that are heavily desired:

- Good for moderate overclocking (3.5GHz stock -> 4.0GHz max overclock)

- Pretty good on-board audio until I can get a DAC

- Red and black colored theme

Please notify me of any other important features I should be looking for in a motherboard in case I missed any. Thanks guys!!!

Sorry the friend who wanted me to post this for him isn't incredibly knowledgable of computers he had a mix up and put that and me who read it at 3AM this morning didn't really care to read through it all but to get back to bed. I just copy and pasted it without reading what he sent. But please, now that I have edited that part out please help with recommendations! Thanks guys for pointing this out to me though!!!!

LGA 2011 on z97 isn't gonna happen bruh. LGA 1150 is the only compatible socket.

Yes, I've noticed my friend made a mistake and when he sent it to me to post it I didn't read through it first.

MSI Z97 SLI Krait edition or GIGABYTE Z97 SOC Force ...

... Life is a game and the checkpoints are your birthday , you will face challenges where you may not get rewarded afterwords but those are the challenges that help you improve yourself . Always live for tomorrow because you may never know when your game will be over ... I'm totally not going insane in anyway , shape or form ... I just have broken English and an open mind ...
