Hi i am planning to build this PC any recommendations to make it better (but staying in that price range?) (Australian Dollar)

Looks good. When did the Corsair cases go up so much in price? I got my 300r for $60

 

EDIT: That RAM is kinda gross... 1600mhz CL10 is sub-par (But not by much) I prefer this instead for better latency

An 550 Watts should be enough, you could save some money. 550 Watts is enough for another 970. But the rest look pretty good.

Oh, that explains it. I feel for you man. Rig looks great. Unfortunate bout' them prices though.

 

I am considering getting my friend in the US to get the stuff then when he gets back he can mail it to me how much cheaper are we talking about between US and AU (how much will this rig cost in US?)

Only about $1000 usd. so youre saving $500ish. Unless you're going to be paying your buddy for shipping.
