I was playing Doom 3 today and noticed something I haven't seen in a while. During some of the battle sequences the game was shuddering. Here is my current build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/X647Jx

I opened the Task Manager an noticed at least 80% if not more of my ram being used. Im like Linus, I keep many tabs in chrome open. So I know Chrome can use a lot of memory. I see about 50% usage with just really running chrome. But this made me question if its time to upgrade. Im going to be looking at the New Metal Gear Solid, Just Cause 3, and the New Hitman game coming out this year. I have a feeling my CPU and such is good. Im wondering in I should upgrade the amount of Ram and possible a graphics card.

A little back ground: I have all my games installed on 1 of my 1tb mechanical disks. I haven't noticed any other issues with any other games. GTA 5 ran fine, Hitman Absolution runs fine. But Ive noticed over the last while Chrome has a tendency to eat more and more memory. Unfortunately I use Hang outs and other Google services. Windows 7 is updated to SP1 and all current updates are installed. Ive even thought about doing a full reformat and reinstall, just to clear out all the crap Ive accumulated in the last 2 years.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
