eyefinity set up

Go to solution Solved by Altecice,

1) It will look weird, as somebody who is currently running an eyefinity build I HIGHLY suggest you find a ultra-wide instead. The amount of no-game support/issues you get with eyefinity is horrendous.

2) Depends what graphics settings you want to push, if you're wanting Ultra on the latest games then even a single TitanX wont be enough.

Hello everyone,

I am currently trying to figure out what road to go down for the quest of eyefinity.

I currently have the asus mx297 27" 1080p monitor. I was considering getting a second one and then putting the

ASUS MX27AQ 27-Inch 1440p monitor in the middle.

First: Will this display look terrible, noticeably different from the single 1440p monitor in center and the two 1080p monitors on the sides?

Second: will my single gigabyte g1 980 be enough to power these monitors on high or ultra, or do I need to pick up a second 980. Or simply go with a single titan x?

Thank you for all the help!!!

1. I don't know if games support different resolution monitors like that, I think you would have to run the middle one as a 1080p monitor, though I'm not positive about that.

2. 980ti maybe?

Tip to those that are new on LTT forum- quote a post so that the person you are quoting gets a notification, otherwise they'll have no idea that you did. You can also use a tag such as @Ryoutarou97 (replace my username with anyone's. You should get a dropdown after you type the "@")to send a notification, but quoting is preferable.

Feel free to PM me about absolutely anything be it tech, math, literature, etc. I'll try my best to help. I'm currently looking for a cheap used build for around $25 to set up as a home server if anyone is selling.

If you are a native speaker please use proper English if you can. Punctuation, capitalization, and spelling are as important to making your message readable as proper night theme formatting is.

My build is fully operational, but won't be posted until after I get a GPU in it and the case arted up.

Thank you guys so so much!

The 27in monitor i have now is super good, but ive been hearing alot of talk with the 1440p, is the difference even that big? Im also going to pick up a second windforce g1 980 because they are so affordable finally.

Also, when you say most games do not support eyefinity is that resulting in screen tearing? Would you recommend any 1440p ultrawide screen too?

You guys rock!
