Hi. Can someone tell me what I need to add my new 500gb Samsung 850 evo to my Asus z97 ar. I already have a hdd and a ssd plugged into sata 1 and sata 2 with 2 sata 6gbs cables. There is a sata express on this board,I Googled and found out that it can get up to 10gbs speed. How do I connect the Samsung to it? A simple sata cable or a separate card?

Thanks. Newbie.

You can't utilize the speed of SATA Express because your SSD is only SATAIII.

As stated above, even if you adapt to SATA express, you are limited to SATA III speeds. That said, every SATA express connector is backwards compatible with 2 SATA III devices, so just plug the drive in that way.
