Im trying to run a minecraft server, after i checked task manager and saw that i have 12,000 MB of available ram, and 410 of free ram. when i set the parameters to run at 1024 minimum, and 8191 max, i get an error message saying could not reserve enough space for an 8192000 object heap.

any help with being able to use my available ram?

Did you make sure you set the parameters to MB instead of GB?

As a used-to-be server owner, this means that you are trying to allocate more RAM than there is on your computer. Check how much RAM is actually in your computer. Try allocating 2GB/4GB.
