I already have the reference gtx 970 on hand but it says the minimal power requirements is 500w but pcpartpicker calculated that my whole system only needed 321w, so i dont know what wattage i should use.

for 88$, you can get a higher capacity Gold rated power supply to be safe. lower wattages sometimes dont come with all the cables needed

450 doesn't give much room to grow.

You should use less than 300W realistically. The PSu will be enough either way. However for 450W it's too expensive.

I would maybe retool the pc to have a better monitor.

Also, it should be fine but you're cutting it close ( ~350w under oc'd load )

get a 550 watt it will be fine.

get a 650w priced similar

A 500 or 550w PSU would work best in a single GPU setup like that.
