Guess you got a bad cooler, as I can run both my MSI 970 on 100% fan speed and barly notice them.

This is totally subjective thing. I could never stand fans ramping up to 100%. It so loud, even MSI's design.

 

For me, at 100% = jet engine.

For me so is jet engine = so loud you cant hear your self speak.

 

You can hear the fans at 100% speed, but its not so loud that you cant hear the game.

But it is noticeable, it is disturbing me. As I have open headphones.

I play with speakers and open headphones, I can still hear the game loud and clear (even when I had the Ultra Kaze going, which are 45.90db(A) monsters).
