Xbox One controller not installing drivers

So I got a Xbox One controller, installed the drivers from the Xbox website, plugged it in and it says that it's installing drivers. Then it says that driver installation has failed. I tried this on another PC that has Windows 7 like my main PC and it worked flawlessly. I tried everything from changing the cable and USB port, to reinstalling the drivers and restarting my PC, but none of that worked. It's strange that it works on the other PC but not this one, and Microsoft support has not helped at all. Does anyone know what it could be?

check device manager and see if it shows and errors or anything wrong with it. I had an issue where if I unplugged the controller while the computer was on it would mess it up and I had to remove everything and reinstall drivers. Luckily in Windows 10 the drivers are built in now.

It says that there are no drivers for it. When I plug it in it says that it failed to download the drivers.

Yes, but it still says it has no drivers when I plug it in. It works fine on my other PC though so I'm very confused.
