Changing laptop cpus

I was just wondering if i could swap laptop cpus if they're the same chipset. The battery in my old laptop exploded and I was thinking of getting a new one but I don't really have too much money for a new one. I was thinking getting a laptop with a cheaper cpu and then swapping them?

Sometimes you can swap them, sometimes you can't. You'll need to look up your mobo to see if it does.

Firstly, if you are planning to swap the CPU, what is the laptop going to be? Processor model also needed.

Some laptops have CPUs soldered to the logic board so you are out of luck there if thats the case... Is it still under warranty?

Doctor Battery is cheap for laptop batteries if you are in Canada or the US. I bought my aunt and my friend laptop batteries from there. Usually they cost around 30 to 50$.

 

Too bad they don't carry anything for my Lenovo
