Hello,

 

I'm sure this has been asked a lot in the past, but as a Linux user I'd really like to know more precisely when Vulkan will be 

released. I did a google search that just says "2015". Perhaps I'm just not following the news.

Khronos Group is in charge of OpenGL/Vulkan... don't get your hopes up on a 2015 date tbh...

Don't hold your breath. The Kronos group takes their time when they're developing something.

Finalized Vulkan is expected to be released in August at SIGGRAPH. So less than two months to go...

 

Before that actually you can expect more details from AMD's talk at GDC Eurpore in Germany which is aimed at helping devs with the new gen of APIs.
