Console Killerz!

Go to solution Solved by DarkBlade2117,
http://cleveland.craigslist.org/sys/5069362976.htmlFor a console killer, at the same price I'd just drive the 20 minute drive to get this... The dude, I talked him down $50. You really won't do much better then this btw...

Name: Please Kill Me, Baby!

The name is two references. First, don't build this because you'd have to be desperate. You're better off with a prebuilt/junkyard PC. Second is it's a reference to my avatar.

CPU: Intel Celeron G1820 2.7GHz Dual-Core Processor  ($39.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: ECS B85H3-M9 (1.0) Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($36.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: A-Data XPG V1.0 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  ($24.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 750 1GB Superclocked Video Card  ($99.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $249.95
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

The Celeron is a watered down Pentium, no? It's a Haswell dual-core at 2.7GHz, hardly beastly but it would be enough to get the GTX 750 by in most cases. The actual case and power supply probably causes cancer so I don't recommend buying it.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

The CPU in that isn't priced, it'll break the budget.

Just your typical /r/hardwareswap budget build. Only thing new is the PSU, great unit and has went on sale for that price for the past three months. Waiting for it to go on sale myself as I need a new PSU.

You'll notice they use integrated because realistically that's all you'll need at that price point. Also my case is a Wood Plank. Or a basic desk. I've drilled and screwed risers into a wooden desk to hold motherboards before, works beautifully. It's actually my current test bench in my work area right now.

I also tried to keep it a quad (or almost-quad) as that's a good advantage to have with modern titles. You won't get solid 1080p out of either of these unless you're running on low but they'd do for 720p gaming no problem.

And of course SteamOS, or Linux (KDE, Mint, etc) would work as well. Also working with the USD is really easy compared to CAD, we really get the shaft up here. Neither of these would be viable. I looked into used, but getting something like a QX6850 or similar would be as expensive or even more so since you need a good motherboard.

The New Machine: Intel 11700K / Strix Z590-A WIFI II / Patriot Viper Steel 4400MHz 2x8GB / Gigabyte RTX 3080 Gaming OC w/ Bykski WB / x4 1TB SSDs (x2 M.2, x2 2.5) / Corsair 5000D Airflow White / EVGA G6 1000W / Custom Loop CPU & GPU

The Rainbow X58: i7 975 Extreme Edition @4.2GHz, Asus Sabertooth X58, 6x2GB Mushkin Redline DDR3-1600 @2000MHz, SP 256GB Gen3 M.2 w/ Sabrent M.2 to PCI-E, Inno3D GTX 580 x2 SLI w/ Heatkiller waterblocks, Custom loop in NZXT Phantom White, Corsair XR7 360 rad hanging off the rear end, 360 slim rad up top. RGB everywhere.

Do I win? It's technically custom right?

EDIT- How do you link the PC parts like that? There's a link to the PC itself in the pcpart picker. Or here http://youngstown.craigslist.org/sys/5045782486.html

Technically... In PCPartPicker, when you're in the build editor, click on "[bb]." Then copy and paste it into the forum.
