G2A Windows Keys

Go to solution Solved by Samfisher,

So I see a lot of people recommend this instead of buying the CD to load Windows. How does it work by just having the key or is there something more to it? How can I validate the legitimacy of buying a key? Wondering because it can save money for me and a friend who are going to be building pcs in the near future.

Nope they are pirated.

Are they not just bought in bulk?

Op you should try https://www.reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap/

They are not pirated.  HOWEVER, they ARE MSDN keys which are illegal to sell, and only last as long as the person having the MSDN license pays for it.

Ok I was thinking this mainly for my friend because I already have a copy of Windows 7 Pro and Windows 8 from when my mom bought her laptop. Thank you.

I hate seeing people recommend that shit. If you want to pirate Windows just do it for free instead of paying someone to do it.

As @Samfisher pointed out, the keys are often from MSDN or similar sources under bulk licence. These are illegal to resell, but they may also have a set expiry time, meaning the licence will expire while you're using it.

I would always recommend you buy an OEM or Retail licence key for Windows as this will always be legal, supported and you will get your media to go with it (which is great for Windows 7 given that MS have removed their media from Digital River).

"PSU brands are meaningless, look up the OEM."
