Glad Wrap side panel windows? . . .

Hi guys I have a question regarding side panels. I had an idea of putting cling wrap/glad wrap over the side panel windows of my pc to stop small scratches etc. Also if it got dusty in theory i could take the wrap off and put new wrap on, with the clingy side on the window and the non sticky side on the outside. Is there any crucial point I am missing or is this a good idea? The only issue I could come up with is the possibility of the glad wrap melting, but I'm not sure if that would happen.

But ya I imagine you would struggle getting it on well/ cutting off any overhang cleanly.

there are some clear silicon spray cans, you can use that and i think its removable later on as well.

It will look bad, you might get away with using something that can be heat shrunk.

 

You'd be better off replacing the window with a more scratch resistant material, or stop throwing things at it that could lead to scratches.
