No clue, as a general rule just steer clear of Alienware. They went downhill after Dell bought them. Also, that is one ugly case

To answer your question, maybe a single 120 intake and 120 exhaust. Not much airflow judging from the pics. But yes, tell your friend Alienware is overpriced, and he should aim for something else..perhaps..you know building his own beast.

I'll answer just to get it answered. Hopefully the case comes with the pci-fan or at least the housing for it. Basically it only has 2 fans; one high velocity fan intake that blows air directly into the pci card area, and a rear exhaust. The pci fan is also supposed to be supported by plastic air channeling cover to help direct air over your graphics card(s).

I bought an Aurora R3 before I knew more about computers. It is a nice case, but you're limited to m-atx motherboards, and the case leds are controlled by Alienware software. Without the software you're stuck with a hefty over sized mATX case. With the software you can manually change led colors and pci fan speed.

Overall, just tell your friend that there's other much cheaper solutions that can actually be more functional out of the box, and are much more future proof.

EDIT: I don't think, like a previous post stated, it's not a 120mm front intake. I think it's more like a specially designed 92mm or even 80mm Delta fan. Pushes a lot of air, but boy it's loud. Like a jet engine, is what I could compare it to. Also, rear is a 120mm fan. Mine had a custom Alienware liquid cooler. Enough space to use a push-pull configuration.

The link you posted is such a bad deal. It's $400 for just the case, mobo, and psu..
