Allright, So I have got my R9 280 and a 650 watt PSU, am I ready to Overclock? If so what utility should I use? Thanks.

i use msi afterburner. It has tons of features. That or evga. Do you feel ready to oc. It can take a bit to test ot and get ot stable. I use Valley or occt to test.

I'd be surprised if you don't hit 1080-1100Mhz coreclock without even touching voltage...

All my 7950's and R9-280's can, I hope yours does too.

I use MSI

Set Power to a Positive value to stop declocking in 3D games,.. +20 to +50, +20 is most likely enough to stop declocking in lighter load situations.

/Does not add voltage, does not void anything, "Power" is a feature, not something tacked on.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Yeah you should be fine (unless you're using a CPU with a crazy TDP).

MSI AfterBurner is hands down the best GPU OC utility.

CPU: AMD FX-6300 4GHz @ 1.3 volts | CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO | RAM: 8GB DDR3

Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A-DS3P | GPU: EVGA GTX 960 SSC | SSD: 250GB Samsung 850 EVO

HDD: 1TB WD Caviar Green | Case: Fractal Design Core 2500 | OS: Windows 10 Home
