Crossfire 390x with 290x

Ok, as the R9 290x and 390x are confirmed to be basically the same card would crossfire between the two be a viable option.

 

I currently have 290x and was considering a second but if a 390x will work just as good... I might swing that way.

If the 390x is just a rebrand, I'd say there's an 80% chance it'll work.

depends. how many gb is your 290x? if its 4 then just get another 290x

If you have a 4 gig 290X you would be wasting your money by Crossfiring it with a 390X because you would not be able to use 4 of the 8 gigs or VRAM on the 390X. Just get another 290X.
