Hi guys,

Well, I stood up quickly and turns out, I was also stood on my headset cable, so off flew my headset, snapping in half on the way down, not very good...

It was a Turtlebeach something something, not very high end at all.

I'm looking for suggestions for a good headset that wont break the bank (Max around £75/$120/105 euro)

Any that anyone would particularly recommend?

audio techinica m30x. It sound wayyyyy better than any gaming headset just without the mic. if you are a mic user then get a seperated mic. or if must get a gaming headset, get hperx cloud then. but still, will recommend m30x to the fullest. Better if you try one by one.

Thanks guys, just read an extensive review of the HyperX Cloud II and it looks fantastic, I think that might be the winner for me

For gaming use an open back headphone if possible. The bigger soundstage makes it way easier to pinpoint enemy locations.

You can get some fairly cheap and really good ones (if you want to stay low budget): http://www.amazon.com/Superlux-HD668B-Dynamic-Semi-Open-Headphones/dp/B003JOETX8/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1434571790&sr=8-4&keywords=open+headphones +  a microphone of your choosing.

So next time you snap your headphones apart, you only have to replace the headphones and the microphone is still good  ;)
