http://pcpartpicker.com/p/YmbRXLI'd personally go with this, absolutely nothing wrong with yours except I think mine has better reliability, except for ram I just think that ram is a little pricey. You picked an older PSU, and I got a WD Blue HDD since iced never heard much about Hitachi. If you want I'd wait for the new monitors http://www.pcgamer.com/seven-new-g-sync-monitors-on-the-way-including-144-hz-ips-asus-display/ and even at 1080p if you max out all settings in the latest triple a games like Witcher 3 and GTA v including AA You won't go above 144fps.

The above.

Also, the EVGA NEX isn't a great choice. Look at EVGA GS/G2 for the same price, or XFX XTR, Antec HCG

I think it is pretty obvious from the op's opening spec that it is for gaming otherwise He wouldn't have a 144Hz monitor so why spec something different ?

Just looking out for people who want to build a similarly speced studio build.  :D

Nice looking build!

Why not go with the H100i GTX cooler? Alternatively you could go with Air cooling such as the dark rock pro 3 which imho looks sexy and performs just as well and is cheaper.

Also with your GPU I would push for a 1440p display - possible the ROG Swift which has a refresh rate of 144hz and g sync if you have the budget?

Maybe also increase the power supply to 750 or 850 incase you plan to SLI in the future when 4k display technology is better (gaming wise)?
