Why are you pairing a 280x with an i7? What is this build for? You should really wait for the new AMD cards to come out. A 280x won't drive 144p very well, and don't use wireless for gaming. You get literally 1/10th the speed of wired in many cases

Nude Fist 1: i5-4590-ASRock h97 Anniversary-16gb Samsung 1333mhz-MSI GTX 970-Corsair 300r-Seagate HDD(s)-EVGA SuperNOVA 750b2

Name comes from anagramed sticker for "TUF Inside" (A sticker that came with my original ASUS motherboard)

Wireless internet. They're coming out very soon but for this pricepoint you might as well just get a 970, I didn't know you needed peripherals and other stuff. Windows 8.1 is better for literally everything. Don't buy an outdated OS because you don't like the interface of Windows 8, you can change it to look like windows 7 easily while still being better in many ways

No... you'll get high ping in online games, you get bad download speeds, and unreliable internet

How about this?

Changed a couple things. Just saying the SSD is only for OS. Everything else goes onto the Deskstar. Also, I opted for some cheaper equivalents of what you recommended. Here's the result: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/dmKsFT. I only saved about $12, but the lower the price, the better.
