So it's summer in Greece and it's soon gonna hit 40 degrees Celsius so I thought I'd go ahead and check my PC Cooling. My oh my, was that a good idea! EVERY fan on my PC is outtake! So, I need to fix that! Flip the case fan. OK, did it. Result? That fan got waaayyyy too loud with a very annoying whiny noise. It's unbearable, I can't talk. That bad.

I know that that fan is the worst part of my PC, second comes the case. I've oiled it yet it won't stop! I'm gonna replace it and probably get 2 fans since I've got a huge CPU air cooler and a GPU cooler. Any fan recommendations? Can we keep the prices as low as possible?

Anyways, moving on. I've got a huge CPU Cooler as I said by Scythe. The whole thing is dusty as heck and it's sitting on top of a Q8400. I need to take it out. I'm gonna do my research and try to get an Air Can to blow the dust away but any other recommendations are very welcome. GPU is still OK.

NOW, for the part I've been waiting for. The case. It's awful. No filter and it has expanded because of the heat and hits onto the CPU Cooler. As a temporary solution I've got the sidepanel off and I have removed the case fan. Is it safe to keep it like that? I noticed that the case was getting really hot with the sidepanel.

Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

1. The whiny noise from fan is because how air flows through mesh holes. Not much you can do about it. Except new case or better fans.

2. You can clean dust with soft paper towels or cotton sticks. Those are actually better if dust has been there for awhile and is more chunky type.

3. If you can't get new case, you can ghetto the filters. People have had good experience with pantyhose.

Thank you so much for the tips! :D Seems like I might need a new case. I fixed my case touching the fan issue!
