$1000 Personal Build

So this is my new personal build (only ordered the case so far) and I wanted to see what you guys think!

I didn't want a super beefy graphics card and the one I picked will play everything I want it to and has a nice, clean look!

CPU: Intel Core i7 Quad Core 4790k ($334.99)

MOBO: Asus Z97 Pro Gamer ($139.99)

Ram: 16gb (2x8) Kingston HyperX Fury White 1866 ($105.99)

PSU: Corsair RM650 ($106.24)

GPU: EVGA GTX 960 2gb SSC ($207.85)

Case: Corsair 450D ($119.99)

Storage: 1x 1TB Western Digital Black HDD ($70.31)

I think this'd look pretty sick with some white aftermarket cables and LED lighting. Already have some white Corsair AF 140s with white LED's for my front intake! Anyways, hope you guys like the build, I think it'll be pretty cool once I have it all bought and built! Thanks for giving it a look!

Get the i5, better PSU which is cheaper. SeaSonic 620W should be good. Get GTX 970, SSD and get a cheaper case, like R4 or R5.

For the OS I'm actually attaching a copy of 8.1 my uncle had an extra of! Helps save a few bucks and I can upgrade to 10!

i5 4690k for main gaming (fps differenec is like 2) 4790k for main gaming+ video editing/rendering

Save money for 970=more preformance

save money for a ssd

Heck yeah, saving a hundred bucks with 4690k to put towards a 970 would be awesome, thanks Aytex!

Woah! Haha, IanDrexP, the original motherboard I was looking at was actually the MSI Krait Edition board, but I couldn't find it priced anywhere! Seeing how much it is compared to the Pro Gamer, it fitting my build, and it being the one I initially wanted, that's definitely the one I'm going for! As for everything else, looks fantastic!
