Extra USB 3.0?

Hello everyone,

 

 

I'm quite confused on how to install this http://www.scan.co.uk/products/35-akasa-aluminum-black-fan-control-for-3-fans-with-2-usb-30-ports

 

So you have your usb 3.0 ports on the case and if I wanted to install this then where would I have to plug in the usb 3.0 connector?

Here, just plug it in to the Blue one on your MOBO, it is on the bottom or right hand side most likely.

On the motherboard. If your motherboard has no usb 3.0 plug you can't use this.

Well the obvious question is......Does your motherboard support usb 3.0? No specs given so it's a wee bit difficult to tell.

What Zet Zet said.. Basically you'll have to get a converter and run it out the back of your case... It's really meant for people who don't have USB 3.0 on their case already.

On the motherboard. If your motherboard has no usb 3.0 plug you can't use this.

 

You can use it with an adapter, but it would just run at USB 2.0 speed.
