I have the AMD fx 6300 processor and I was wonderinghow much ghz should I overclock it to for there to be less of a bottleneck. I have the Corsair CX600 psu but I think if I overclock it wont work with my power supply. Will my motherboard support the overclock as well? ( I have the Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 motherboard).

What GPU do you have? 600W should be plenty, but don't push that CPU too hard. I've had that board and done some decent overclocks on it, but don't overdo it speaking that it's a pretty low end board :)

What can happen when overdoing the bored ? Can it take out other parts ?

What else is there to say i am to n00b to understand computers so yea...

I wouldn't overclock on that motherboard. Its VRM are far too weak for any useful overclock to be able to run safely.

Not really, if you push it VERY hard you might get a bit of smoke (don't worry though, just don't be stupid and you'll be fine :) )

not sure yet, I ordered it yesterday and it should get here sometime this week :D I had R9 290X Crossfire and I loved it, but it was just too loud.

You could have gotten a decent water cooling kit for less....just saying. And you'd have had each graphics card running with higher overclocks.

not really, I got it for $510. Used R9 290 CF ($400) + Kraken G10s + H55s + Heatsinks would've costed more :3

I would've had to pay money out of my pocket to get the second solution, but I could afford the R9 295x2 using solely the money from selling my 290X Lightnings, so I just went with that :P

what is your cpu 'bottle necking'

See if you can OC to 4ghz, that's around what the 6350 runs at. Watch VRM temps though. You should probably be fine. Unfortunately even at 4.5ghz that CPU would still be a bottleneck because of the poor ability of games to utilize CPU threads

your motherboard is not suited for overclocking. You'll fry your VRM's and kill your CPU...and no amount of overclocking will make it able to properly feed an R9 290 GPU at 1080p...you'd need to get like 6.0ghz.

What can happen when overdoing the bored ? Can it take out other parts ?

Yes of course it can...if you fry the voltage regulation module of a motherboard in a split second you'll most likely fry the CPU and maybe even the RAM or anything else attached to the board.
