Is memtest86+ reliable for testing RAM problems? I just ran it and it said I had no errors but before I ran it, dual channel ram would make my pc crash without BSOD. Only in single channel will it run properly

It is a reliable way for testing for faulty ram. If you're suspicious that your memory is faulty then run it for more than one pass. Let it complete like 10+ passes before coming to the conclusion that your memory is bad. Usually one pass is enough although 10+ is over conservative to ensure that it's not. You can also dig around for other desktop testing software like AIDA64 to put a load onto system memory to see if you get any errors or crashes.

Not even 10 seconds into the AIDA64 stress test on the RAM, my pc reboots without a BSOD

Have you tested every stick of ram individually? Try popping only one in and doing the same memory stress test. If it runs for 5 minutes without a problem then shut down and subject the rest of your sticks until you weed out a potential bad one. If none of them give you problems then it could be a likely bad dimm slot.
