well i was wondering if they will mess up due to them having different clock speeds and what not, and i would like to run 4k eventually

the only thing that may be an issue is the sli bridge not lining up right

no they will work fine together, but if you plan to run 4k within the next year or two I would recommend selling your 970 and using that money towards a 980ti or maybe an AMD Fury card if they perform like rumour says

 

the only thing that may be an issue is the sli bridge not lining up right

flexible SLI bridges will always work though

flexible SLI bridges will always work though

the 980ti is a beast!! just waiting for aftermarket designs
