my aida 64 trial ran out and wonder if there is a free version for stability testing

Download RealBench.  It is much better for stability testing anyway, imo.  Linus even used it to run 8 hour stress tests on his 16 core 32 thread cpu.

It is a paid product. I put quotes around "must" because you could technically get it for free if you wanted to.

Those are the benchmarks.  Click the Stress Test button.  Change Memory to something that is less your total system memory.  So if you have 8gigs set it to 4, if you have 16 set it to 8, etc. And then just hit start and let it run.
