Something is wrong with my flash drive...

Go to solution Solved by Altecice,

I know you have said you tried command prompt but can we try again?

Open CMD as Admin;

Diskpart

List disk

select disk # (whatever number the USB is)

clean

create partition primary

select partition 1

format fs=fat32 quick

active

Hopefully that fixes your issues :)

For whatever reason my 16gb flash drive is now only displaying as 48.8mb to windows... So I go to the disk management to find that the rest of the space is unallocated and it won't let me format it. I've tried using command prompt for format the thing but the empty 15gb unallocated volume doesn't show up, so I can't select it to format it.

This is what happens when I right click on that unallocated volume. No options....

Any way I can get that 15gb back? Right now this flash drive is useless.

It said windows was unable to complete the format and then gave me this:

EDIT:

Nevermind, I tried it again and it worked the second time. All the space is back, thanks a lot!
