Hey everyone.

I have been having an issue lately that when I go to run something that requires Java,

I get a notification/Error saying that Java could not start the virtual machine and just crashes.

So I checked for an update and there was one, so I decided to do a clean install of Java, uninstall the old version then install the new version.

When I went to install the new version, I still get the same issue, so now I am stuck without Java on my system.

Any ideas on how to get this working?

Thanks for your help :)

Update:

I have just tried the offline installer and still nothing. I just restarted my PC and tried again and got the same error. :/

On another note, before coming here to ask for help, I did some looking and the error Im getting is apparently related to a Windows update, so I uninstalled it and am still getting the error.

I thought maybe if I did the install differently as an "upgrade" rather than a clean install.

I managed to install Java 8 Update 40 and went to install update 45 and am still getting the same error.

After changing the Variables like you suggested, it worked. Thank you!

I think I saw the issue when I changed the variable. It was set at 8GB, i must have done that a while ago to try something, but never changed it back.
