My First Build - $450 Gaming Budget Build

So, here's the story. My current computer (which is excellent by the way) only has Intel HD Graphics 4000. Obviously bad for gaming and video editing (two of my favorite things). So today I ordered this build (all the parts will get picked up at Microcenter). So, I'm looking for opinions on how I did and on what to upgrade in the future.

Here's the Build

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor  ($94.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard  ($79.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R7 250X 1GB Video Card  ($96.98 @ Newegg)
Case: Thermaltake Versa H22 ATX Mid Tower Case  ($33.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Power Supply: EVGA 500W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply  ($36.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Total: $446.68

I'd swap over to intel and get an i7 or xeon (seeing how you edit videos and such), then also upgrade your GPU, depending on the program you use you might wanna go with nvidia for cuda acceleration.

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

I'd have stretched the budget another $50 and gotten a 260x or 750 Ti. Far better cards for the money. That being said, you'll probably enjoy what you have as long as you like games released in january or earlier. I'd suggest a GPU upgrade when you have the money to something like a R9 290 or GTX 970

Thanks everyone for your help. As was previously said, I think the idea of the 750 Ti or 260 could be something I could replace later. (I already ordered so it's kinda too late). Thanks for everyone's great feedback!
