I have an OEM that I wish to upgrade from 4Gigs to 8 (or potentially more) gigs. What Ram Should I buy to be able to keep the old ram?

also, where would i find out the max ram for my mobo? Found It - 16GB

DDR2 is not a problem.

You can match RAM sticks with different capacities (GB) but for best compatibility they should have the same Clock Speed, Timings (CL or Cas Latency) and Voltages otherwise they may not work.

Also, what's the difference between normal ram and Apple Ram?

Apple ram is misleading marketing gimmick

it's only lower voltage than regular (ex: 1.35v instead 1.5v)

 

I'm not sure is there such a thing for DDR2

 

unless you have quad core (either Q Series or Phenom) upgrading to 8GB won't help that much specially when using higher resolution for gaming purpose.

your CPU will bottleneck hard out your system, and also might consider to buy used one instead new

DDR2 is no longer produced, and it's a common the price is more expensive than DDR3
