thnx

4k? No, 1440p yeah it can do it. 4k you'd want something like a 980 for low end 4k or 980timfor 30-60fps

EDIT- Drop to 16gbs of ram at 1866mhz, 32 is to much for just gaming.

you got any prefferred monitors for 1440 gaming?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009728 Is probably as cheap as you are getting. ASUS and Acer have like 5-7 ish monitors coming out but I don't know prices or names. They are suppose to be cheaper then the $800 Acer Predator but with the same features like g-sync

EDIT- http://www.pcgamer.com/seven-new-g-sync-monitors-on-the-way-including-144-hz-ips-asus-display/ All the new monitors coming out

This build is more for 1440p than 4k. You can max out everything on 1080p tho..-

Not really no.  :)

@Maersman, what kind of games do you play? For Source games, League of Legends, World of Warcraft etc, this'll be able to run 4K just fine.

However, it would be more advisable to get yourself a 1440p monitor instead. 1440p can be driven very well by a GTX 970. The other drawback of going with a 4K monitor is that when you turn down the resolution for more demanding games, the image can look blurry.

That build looks absolutely fine, it should serve you well. But I would recommend 1080p 144Hz if you're a competitive gamer, or 1440p 60Hz if you like pretty visuals. The extra pixels really make a difference, I don't really feel the need to run games with AA now.

Another thing to mention is that while the GTX 970 will be good for 1440p NOW, there's no telling how it will cope in the future as games become more demanding. I will be selling my 970 in a year's time and get myself an Nvidia card with the Pascal architecture.
