Firestrike: does screen resolution matter

Hi guys,

does screen resolution have an impact on the score/fps on firestrike? Due to the fact that i had to save money and took an old monitor which was laying around, i only get 1366x768 resolution AND at the moment i have no internet on my pc, I cannot see the score of firestrike. In comparison to a friend with a 770, i doubled the fps.

Here my results (what was shown by firestrike, average)

- graphics test 1: 55-60 fps

- graphics test 2: 45-50 fps

- physics: 32-33fps

- combined (processor: xeon 1231v3): 20 fps

 

Are the results normal (gtx 970 gaming g1? does firestrike matter which resolution your monitor has?

Yes. More pixels need more power.

so firestrike does not render these things in fhd and then the gfx scales that down for the monitor?

Disregard all that, looks like it uses a set resolution

What I don't understand is if your friend has the same resolution monitor, because FireStrike (depending on the version that you have) will scale to your native resolution depending on which benchmark you pick.

Firestrike runs at a set resolution and scales it for your monitor.

The friend has a fhd monitor, i a 768p (natively 900p but it doesn't work with win 8.1, too old). My basic question is: are my results normal for a 970 (almost doubled the performance to 770)
