LightScribe DVD drive for new build

tbh I couldn't figure out where to put this thread, so basically I already have a DVD drive to install windows, but it requires a driver to run, and I don't feel like wasting the money on a DVD drive when I could get a graphics card. I have ONE usb stick, and that means that I either have room for an os that will install the driver or the driver itself. I know I could just install the operating system, go back to my laptop and get the driver, but I don't feel like putting forth the effort. Is there a simpler way to get the DVD drive working so I can install a proper OS?
