What do folks think of the current state of smart watches now that android wear and the likes have been out for some time? If you have one, what do you use it for?

What don't you like about the current batch?

Battery life, they don't really "do" a lot of things at the moment, app integration isn't spectacular by any means.

Makes sense. How abysmal are the batteries on most of these devices?

The fancy pants ones don't have a week of battery life. Couple days at most, roughly.

They're too darn expensive. When your watch costs as much as (and sometimes more than) your current smartphone, then there's issues.

I was waiting for some of them to hit the sub $100 on sale again. Wouldn't spend more than that.
