What ram ?

Go to solution Solved by Cpt_spitfire,

So go for the vengeance then?

So i got corsair vengeance 1600 16gb 4 sticks and i got Hyper x 8gb 2 sticks

on the vengeance i have xmp profiles i dont on the fury's. i will get another 8 GB if the fury's are better.

wich of these gives me best preformance?

Can i clock my fury's higher then the vengeance?

I don't know what specific sets you have, but the CAS latency is lower on the vengeance. Stick with vengeance.

Depends, do you really need to overclock your RAM? what programs / hardware will be taking advantage of it? If there aren't any large gains which I've OC'ed my RAM Corsair Vengeance and I've seen pretty much no difference in any programs I don't think it'll matter much unless you have a APU.

It doesn't matter, and 16GB is more than enough.

If you are using for something other than gaming, it could make a difference though.

Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz 8GB CL9

HyperX Fury DDR3 1600MHz 8GB CL10

So whats the difference between cl9 and cl10?

8Gb is allso enough for gaming, and im im planning on going for the fury memory i will buy another kit to get 16 Gb.

Did a tiny oc on my fury ram last night, and they are running at 1866 wich in my eyes is more then enough. i can prolly push them further but for gaming, and most other applications i wont notice much difference :)

Could you explain this further to me ? CAS latency?

I allso read that the Fury ram is compatable with more mobo's and setups, since they are newer :)

In gaming there is little benefit in overclocking your ram as far as framerate is concerned. CAS latency is one of the speeds that refers to how fast the memory is. Lower CAS latency = faster = better for gaming. There is really NO point in buying more RAM if you already have a full kit.
