New Pictures of AMD Fury Nano Leaked w/ Backplate

Really not a big fan of the different textures inside and outside the letters in the Radeon logo... might just be OCD but that bothers me.

The design of the backplate, and size of the card should make it very rigid. No one wants a  floppy card.

Man this card looks amazing. Very minimalistic. Sure the backplate is probably plastic, but it's much better than a 1000$ card with no backplate, where the vram goes above 100c, which is insane.

The tubing looks nice braided as well, and sticking out the back should make it easier to handle, and looks less cluttery. Also love the huge bubble trap on the side. Maybe this will make it a lot quieter than usual AIO's?

 

 

Is it a full 2,5cm thick or is it a slim fan? Either way, I doubt this card will be noisy or hot in any way with an AIO. Graphics cards benefit SO much from AIO's.

How did you mount them together? The radiator-fan-radiator sandwich I mean.

 

I used spare HDD mounting screws from the Node 304's HDD mounting brackets and small rubber washers. Tightened the screws with a small flat head screw driver on an angle.

Just noticed something odd with this new water-cooled Fury card... Where's the fan to cool the VRMs? Based on other image leaks of the front, they show no blower or axial fan. 

 

Unless... it actually uses a full waterblock in there... :o  If that's the case, that will increase the value and can justify the cost as this is not like other water cooled hybrid cards with a simple Asetek pod strapped to the GPU core.

Not on the fury, as the backplate won't have any contact with vram, as they are on the GPU package. On the Titan X, it would melt, as the vram goes to 100+c, but NVidia uses metal for backplates anyways.

Such as? The Fury seems to use a full cover water block. I don't see any component coming in contact with the back plate, that would get a 100c. In fact, since it's water cooled, I don't see anything coming to those temps.

Yep, the whole card will run cooler under water. 

 

 

Just something to note (for everyone): even though the back plate looks plastic in these pics, it could be a prototype we're seeing with a 3D printed back plate, where as the actual production model may get a metal plate. 

 

Again, we won't know until launch. ;)
