One power cable or two?

Go to solution Solved by W-L,

Asus GTX 980 Matrix Platinum video card.

Cooler Master v850 80+ gold.

The pcie power cables that came with the psu have a double 6+2 tip. Can I just use one cable for both 8 pin power inputs or do I need two separate cables? Or do I use a "Y" splitter cable?

Thanks!

You can use the cable that has two 6+2pins PCI-E to power that card it shouldn't be a problem.

yes, should be enough, but honestly, the 980 isn't worth it anymore.
