Overclocking PSU

Go to solution Solved by Oshino Shinobu,

Your PSU is more than enough.

I plan on upgrading my current build to an i5-4690k and take my first steps into overclocking. My current build has a corsair rm750w psu and i was wondering if that would be enough to overclock the 4690 or if i would need to upgrade my psu and if so how much would you suggest. I'm not sure what things matter when choosing a psu that your going to overclock with so ill just list everything that i think would use enough power to be worth mentioning

Gigabyte windforce GTX 760

Samsung 840 evo 250gig

WD green 500gig

evga z97 classified

4x4 gigs crucial balistix tracer ram

corsair h100i gtx aio liquid cooler

(because i dont know if a lot of fans will use considerable amounts of power) 7 fans including the ones on the cooler

Any advice would be much appreciated

It's more than enough for that build.

400W too

I wouldn't drop anylower then 600W. I had issues from time to time with a single 770 (Modded BIOS) and a 4770k pushing stupid voltage and clock speeds tripping OCP/OVP on my old 630W from Rosewill.

I run 4770k and 770 on my 550W PSU and the fans barely spin up. No hickups so far as my PSU goes. It really comes down to which PSU you have.

Nah, I was just pushing the limits of my PSU at the time.
