Why cant i equip my self made grip (1 handed sword grip) onto my self made sword(one handed sword)?

Both are tier 2...

(PS: im getting really addicted to this game, the 30 dollars was worth it xD)

Is the grip made for that kind of weapon? It has to be specifically for a sword, staff, dagger, and whatever.

OP said he/she made a 1 handed sword grip, for his/her 1 hand sword.

I know. I was implying to check on the hilt to make sure it was for that type of weapon because I've never had that issue in the game.
