Hello,

I've run into a small problem that's a little annoying. I left my computer in my parents basements as I've been in the US for 7 months. Pretty constant atmosphere.
Coming home I obviously expected it to work as I left it, but that didn't happen.

I got no post. Only a Q LED for CPU, and Q code 00.

Tried reseating it. No bend pins. I've checked the PSU with a multimeter, and it's all good.

Here are the specs:

i5 4670k (was overclocked at 4400mhz)
Maximus VI Formula
G Skill F3-2133C9D-16GTX
Asus GTX 770
Corsair H100i
Cosair HX750 PSU
Evo 750 SSD

There is no visible damage. The CMOS battery is fine. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Kind Regards,

Martin

I googled your issue and from the solved threads it looks like people managed to fix the issues with a bios firmware update, is that a viable option for you? http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1150/MAXIMUS-VI-FORMULA/MAXIMUS-VI-FORMULA-ASUS-1603_and_BIOS-updater.zip?_ga=1.11880628.1444957015.1432566576

Clear CMOS and try booting with onboard graphics.

It could be that another component has failed in storage and is preventing the PC from posting. I would try disconnecting anything that is not essential (such as storage drives, add-in cards etc) to remove as many possible failure points as possible.

By the sounds of it it isn't a viable option, however there's the asus ez flashack bios option that he can try and then update from there providing it works, so try to use that option to flash your bios back a set @Coldbear.

I would also suggest removing and reseating all other components. You may possibly have a single fouled contact somewhere in the system that is causing problems. You can also try swawpping out and booting with single ram sticks to ensure its not a dodgy stick of ram thats causing problems.
