If your case has the room for it, the Cooler Master 212 Evo is a great cooler for just $30. It includes its own thermal paste that is perfectly sufficient. It's actually a bit overkill and you can overclock fairly far on it, but it's a cheap and good cooler.

Hi so i've had this pc for 5 years now and i realize it might just need a thermal paste replacement, but i really would like to know what you would recommend to replace the stock Intel cooler, cause summer is coming and i really need a new cooler.

I don't have much money so the cheaper the better i would really like a cheap but effective cooler, if you guys know some please tell me.

CPU: I5-2400

Try replacing thermal paste. If that doesnt work get a cheap cooler.

Just remember: Random people on the internet ALWAYS know more than professionals, when someone's lying, AND can predict the future.

What is your budget for a cooler? there are many $20 coolers that beat the intel one right in the ass, id recomend looking on amazon or ebay, depends on what area your from.

Try cleaning the heatsink with some canned or compressed air first.
