Graphics upgrade for 4K Gaming

Hello there,

I would like retire my GTX 650 Ti, for another card that would allow me to game in 4k.

 

will it be possible with my current build? (my concern is the motherboard :huh: )

 

Budget is about $600~$800 for upgrades

 

Any suggestion or comment welcome!

980Ti if you want to go 4k.. or possibly wait and see for the 390x on pricing and performance.

I don'T PreSS caPs.. I juST Hit THe keYboARd so HarD iT CriTs :P

You're going to need a new PSU for sure. So, let's take -$100 for that. That leaves (assuming you choose $700) $600 for a GPU. A 980 or 290x is a your best bet.

Bit of an AMD fan I suppose. I don't bias my replies to anything however, I just prefer AMD and their products. Buy whatever the H*CK you want.

my real concern if it actually a 980 will work with that motherboard (is not really a premium one...)

It'll work, you won't SLI though

thanks! just wanted reassurance before i pay $800, happened before that compatibility caused loss to me! :D
