Memory not showing full speed

Hello

 

I have the MSI Z97 Gaming 7 mb and 16gb  2133 DDR3 ram.

 

I activated the XMP setting on the mb and with MSI's software, it shows the ram at 2133.

 

But when I use HWINFO64 to check the speed, it shows 1066.

 

Do I need to change something?

No its becuse its running in dualchannel and thats means that its running att 1066 x2

Correct, however its not due to dual channel that its running at x2. Its down to the DDR (Double Data Rate), basically it can store information at the start and end of a electrical pulse (or clock cycle).
