Good morning guys..

I've been searching through my bios and saw : No-Execute Memory Protect (when disabled forces the NX feature flag to always return 0).. i have it enabled

i want to do my bios startup faster.. especially with the ahci mode on it takes a long time..

should i disable the feature above ? what else can i do ?

my mobo is : gigabyte ep31-ds3l

No-execute memory protect is designed to help prevent viruses from running - I believe it works by preventing memory from being overflowed which viruses can do. Don't disable it.

As already mentioned, enabling fast boot is one of them. Disabling all of your other drives in the system but you boot one, will also increase the loading speed, because the PC will not check the others. Enabling full UEFI Support and disabling Legacy Support is an option too.

Well, that's a very old board. That is way there not much of boot optimizations to be had in the BIOS. Hope at least the UEFI thing had some positive impact on performance.
