Yo. I´m planning to build myself a gaming computer and i have some wonders.

This is my build so far.

* Kingston HyperX Fury 8gb 1866mhz ram stick   x2

* i7 4790k

* Gigabyte GA-Z97P-D3

* Corsair Carbide 100R Silent Edition

* Kingston V300 120gb ssd

* Seagate Barracuda 2tb

* Gtx 980ti

Im going to use this machine for gaming but i don´t have a clue about which PS and Cpu cooler to get (Max 150mm Total Height).

I wanna keep my 4790k from throttling with no overclock and reasonably quiet.

Mind helping me out?

Do you really need the i7?

You are better off with Crucial or Samsung SSD.

if your not going to OC the stock cooler might be fine but id go for something from maby coolermaster and go for maby 500W i have no clue if thats going to be enogh but im really not an expert when it comes to PSU's

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

snip

That's a terrible SSD, go for samsung, crucial, intel

You're probably not going to fully utilise the i7, an i5 will do for gaming and pretty much everything else

for  CPU cooler either 212 Evo for air or x61 for AIO

The EVGA Supernova 650W PSU wis reasonable

212 Evo is too high? Website sais its 158 mm tall. In my case it cant be over 150mm

Terrible ssd, why?

Might sound dumb but i want the cooler to be cheap and not make the cpu throttle under load, and fit in my case, period.

The SSD is very slow compareed to others, it using sub par NAND

Well if you're not overclocking you dont need a aftermarket CPU cooler
