I had a question about the upcoming update/upgrade for windows 10,

Will I be able to format my hdd so that I will be running a fresh OS, and get rid of those god knows what in my pc?

I've been wondering this myself.  I want the option to download an ISO and install from scratch.  The last thing I want to do years from now is reinstall Windows 7 and go through some lame upgrade process.

They said they will allow people to do a fresh install of Windows 10 whenever they wanted after they install, so if that's what you want then yes. For now you can reinstall your existing Windows OS and then wait (or clone the fresh install) for WIndows 10 to come out, that way it is technically a fresh install.
